Before I stepped behind the camera full-time, I was a professional engineer. To me, they aren’t too unlike each other. As a producer & director, I merge my technical skill set and experience as a creative problem solver to craft authentic stories and tackle global issues.
Growing up I never found myself short of hobbies. For all the things I developed a passion for, one remained a constant: there was a camera by my side. Wherever life took me, I was prepared to tell that story. If I reached even a single person with that message, I considered it a success. Today my purpose is found in living the stories I tell. The camera is simply a conduit to share these experiences with others.
We’ve been making films together since we stole our Mom’s VHS camcorder in the early 2000s, but it wasn’t until 2017 that we went into business together. At a crossroads in our lives, we moved into our Volkswagen Westfalia vans, Lars & Stratus, and spent three years exploring the American West. Along the way, we rekindled our passion for filmmaking and committed to a lifetime of telling stories together. Our brand logo is derived from the Volkswagen emblem, which we tattooed on each other in 2017 as a promise to pursue a life outside the comfort zone. Our mission is to ask the hard questions, bring people together, and share the stories that have never been told before.
